Through everyday objects and material translations, Isa Andersson investigates contemporary power structures, status symbols and survival aesthetics. Andersson uses a sharp, precise visual language in her clear glass objects and installations, challenging conventions of beauty, aggression, and identity.

Isa Andersson, born 1990 in Stockholm, is educated at Beckmans School of Design and has a master's degree in design from Konstfack. She is active in numerous art and design projects. Isa works sculpturally and often uses methods that include collaboration, social structures and the relationships between body and material and the rooms they are in. Power relations and status are subjects that are in all of her sculptures. Glass as a material is a common material that symbolizes power structures and our physical relationship to them.
