Box House consists of six paintings and is part of a series I call Collection of Planks. They are painted on rough, unplaned planks that I have salvaged and feature surfaces and shapes of a built or civilizational nature, dealing with constructed environments. These are not environments taken directly from reality; rather, the works express a conceptual spatiality. In these paintings, I aim to convey the sense of space rather than depict it.
