Tinplate 7 — Anostus

Anostus. The island is located at the mouth of the Mediterranean Sea. It is said that there is no return from this place. The climate is often cloudy, with low misty skies that cast a dim, reddish light. Two rivers flow through the island. The trees growing along The River of Grief bear mournful fruits—any visitor who eats them will spend the rest of their life in sorrow and tears. The fruit trees along the other river, The River of Pleasure, have the opposite effect. Those who eat their fruit will be freed from all desires and will gradually grow younger and younger. In time, they will relive their years and eventually die as a newborn child. The island was charted by Claudius Aelianus in the 3rd century CE.

Anostus.
