The Harder They Come (a part of the X, formerly Twitter, series)
Crafted from reclaimed wood sourced from various goods transportation, these baseball bats serve as potent symbols—manifestations of underdog defiance or the fight for freedom. How much of a bat do you need to start a riot? If you want to hurt someone you probably don’t need that much.

Every etch and groove on these bats tells a tale of their origins in the transportation industry. Take, for instance, bat #5, emblazoned with the code "1312," resonating with cultural significance such as ACAB (all cops are bastards), though it undoubtedly holds another meaning, likely tied to its originating company.

Part of a series inspired by the the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), following Elon Musk's acquisition in 2022, this piece reflects the platform's newfound liberty from censorship, a wellspring of inspiration for artistic commentary.

Its title, borrowed from a song by Jamaican artist Jimmy Cliff for the film of the same name, serves as a poignant nod to the enduring power of artistic expression in the face of societal upheaval.
