Amorphous Blue

Amorphous Blue was born as part of a couple… unfortunately, the kiln is a harsh environment, and its companion did not survive the firing process. And so it stands alone, seemingly mourning its lost one. Wilt.

Margherita Pozzali. Coming from a design background, Margherita Pozzali gradually transitioned from fashion to craft and art. After earning a degree in Fashion Design at Politecnico di Milano, she shifted her focus to applied arts, beginning with ceramics courses and continuing by assisting artists and craftsmen whenever possible. Pozzali completed a Master’s degree in Craft at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design. Her main interest lies in contemporary craft and collectible design, with a particular fascination for the odd, the uncanny, and objects that carry a story.

Pozzali creates works that exist between fragility and humour, drawing inspiration from daily life and the objects that surround us. She explores analogies between humans and objects: sometimes a production process evokes a life experience, other times human behaviours are translated into the features of an object. Her work engages with themes such as imperfection, awkwardness, and anomalies, presenting them from fresh perspectives and with a gentle sense of humour. A profound love for materials and nature is often reflected in the aesthetic of her pieces.
