Eva-Teréz Gölin. For the past decade, Eva-Teréz Gölin has explored digital imagery as a reflection of our contemporary era, continually challenging the boundaries of photography. In her new body of work, she investigates how images might appear if defined solely by the colours captured before the camera, rather than by the light reflected from their subjects. The works in this exhibition, drawn from her recent show Transparency and Its Shadows, emphasize duality: everyday objects acquire a subtle sense of unease, while their abstraction invites viewers to reinterpret both the work and their own perceptions.

Gölin (b. 1972) lives and works in Gothenburg. She is a recipient of this year’s IASPIS grant and has exhibited widely in Sweden and Finland. Her work is held in public and private collections, including Göteborg Konst, Region Stockholm, and Västra Götalandsregionen. She studied at the Royal Institute of Art, Novia University of Applied Sciences, and holds a master’s degree in photography from Valand Academy, University of Gothenburg.
