The sculptural installation, Tendon I, is part of a series of wooden sculptures suspended by latex bands. These works challenge the balance between weight and tension, and the permanence and decay of a material.
Jordana Loeb's practice works across various processes, including printmaking, sculpture, video, performance, and experimental sound. Her work is grounded in materiality, exploring the physical act of moving through a material and its relationship to the body, while approaching concepts of memory, family history, archaeology, and nature. She is informed by her background in dance—ballet, modern, and somatic techniques—and woodblock printmaking; the repetitive and meditative act of carving has become a foundational element in her practice.
Loeb holds an MFA in Fine Art from Konstfack (2024) and a BFA with a focus in printmaking from Syracuse University, New York (2009). She has exhibited at Virserum Konsthall (2025), Färgfabriken (2024), Fylkingen (2024), Silvermuseet (2024), and Konstnärshuset (2022), and has had a solo exhibition at Galleri Duerr (2022) in Sweden.
