Samuel Beckett's short play That Time was included in the production Short Dream with actor Sven Lindberg (1918-2006) at Marionetteatern in 1994. In the play, we see a lonely mute face listening to three stories (A-B-C) from three different periods in his life. The voice, which is the character's own, comes from three directions: above, to the left, and to the right. Each story is divided into a total of 12 parts and alternates between them so that all orderings between A-B-C arise, except for the sequence A-B-C itself.

In the sculpture SKULLS, Dunér reuses his recording with Sven Lindberg. The voices, which in Beckett's play have an invisible source, are now placed in three skulls. The spectator replaces the face in the play. The play, which lasts about 18 minutes, is played continuously a few times each hour, and in between, the skulls can be heard rehearsing. The combinations in these exercises are chosen by the sculpture itself and cannot be repeated.
