Five Percussionists. Five Artists. One Singer

15 June 2026
Overview
We warmly invite you to an evening where contemporary art and live music meet in unexpected and inspiring ways. Join us on Monday, June 15 at 7 pm for a special performance featuring five percussionists and one singer from Kungliga Operan.

Date: Monday, June 15
Time: 7 pm
Place: Galleri Duerr

Percussion: Rolf Thunander, Olle Pettersson, Rikard Markstedt, Ludvig Nilsson, and Mika Takehara
Singer: Jessica Bäcklund

Together, they create an immersive experience in which voice, rhythm, and sound flow into the exhibition space itself. Moving between composed material and spontaneous gestures, the performance explores the wide expressive range of percussion and the human voice, unfolding as a shifting sonic landscape that responds to the room and its surroundings.

The evening takes place in dialogue with the exhibition Errare humanum est. Painting at the Time of Artificial Intelligence, featuring works by five Estonian artists, where questions of perception, image-making, and interpretation are already at play. Within this setting, sound and visual art begin to merge into a shared field of attention, inviting the audience into a space shaped as much by listening as by seeing. The encounter opens toward reflections on imagination, technology, and the evolving relationship between human creativity and its tools.

We look forward to welcoming you.
