CONCERT WITH SÖREN RUNOLF & EWERT EKROS

SÖREN RUNOLF is part of the free-improvised and electro-acoustic music scene and has performed in Europe, Russia, and the USA. Since the late seventies, he has been a member of the free-improvised-music-group Lokomotiv Konkret and works in several other constellations together with musicians and composers such as Sten Sandell, Mats Lindström, and Johannes Bergmark, and often in collaboration with choreographers, dancers, performance artists, poets and video-artists. He performs solo with live electronics – using equipment such as contact microphones, amplified objects, electronic processors, live-sampler, and analog and virtual modular synthesizers, to name a few.

 

EWERT EKROS / Ekrosjävlarna, is an electronic sound and music composer with a vibrant presence in the Stockholm music scene. Actively involved in studio EMS (Electronic Music Studios), Ewert contributes significantly to the electronic music landscape. As a dedicated member of the EMS Studio user organization VEMS, he also serves on the board. Ewert Ekros is a key participant in live concerts, regularly taking part in concerts in a free improvisation/experimental tradition. Ekros is an active member of the artist-driven stage performance society Fylkingenin Stockholm, Sweden. His stage and performance practice includes electronic and acoustic instruments, presenting them in fixed media form. Ekros specializes in crafting fixed-media sound compositions within electronic multichannel setups, extending to sound-based installations, where he collaborates with artists representing diverse disciplines. In his fixed media pieces, Ewert often employs sound sources derived from the human voice, adding a distinctive and evocative element to his compositions.
