Simon Sjöström Swedish, b. 1984

Simon Sjöström was born in 1984 in Riddarhyttan and is currently based in Stockholm and Ullersäter, Sweden. He holds a BFA from Umeå Academy of Fine Arts (2018-2021) and is pursuing an MFA in Fine Arts from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm (2021–2023).

Through a diverse range of experiments and inventions, encompassing sound, drawing, and installation, and employing a process best described as a holistic perspective on existence - where some form of worldly awareness serves as a compass alongside a synesthetic method - Sjöström  manifests his interest in life, energies, natural sciences, societal structures, and the enigmatic unknown.
